It is with mixed feelings that I have some news to share with our Holly Families. I have just received word that I will be starting a new job in September at the Education Centre as School Effectiveness Lead.
During my last year at Holly, I have had the opportunity to work with so many amazing students, staff, families and community members. I am looking forward to the opportunities that await in my new position, however, as you are all well aware, Holly is an amazing place to be and it will be difficult to leave.
I am thankful for the exceptional and dedicated staff who always have the best interests of the students in mind. They put their hearts into helping our students to be challenged, encouraged, and excited to learn. I am also thankful for our supportive families and volunteers. Our Holly Day Bazaar, Fun Fair, Read and Feed, Family Arts Night, Movie Night and Colts Night are some activities that have taken place this year to bring the community together and even though we have a big school, it is events like these that make our school feel like a family. Last, but not least, our students are amazing. It takes a village to raise a child and all of these partnerships are integral in making Holly the special place that it is. I look forward to following along with the events of the school community and know that you will continue to do great things!
The new administration team for Holly Meadows will be announced later this summer once approved by the board.
